About Us Welcome everyone to our website VGA of SoCal, Vietnamese Golf Alliance of SoCal, established 2007. VGA of SoCal was formed simply by a group of friends who have great passion for golf and we would like to share our enthusiasms with anyone who would like to join our club. The club re-established our name in 2008 to appropriately/respectfully incorporate all our members from the Orange, San Diego, Riverside, San Bernardino and Los Angeles counties. VGA of SoCal goal is to stage tournaments and events for members to play at some of the most beautiful and challenging courses throughout Southern California. All are invited, regardless whether you are a competitive golfer, or someone who just leisurely strolls eighteen. VGA of SoCal vision is to compete against each other regardless of age, gender, talent or race. Through VGA of SoCal, there will be many great opportunities for current and potential members to interact with the Vietnamese-American community throughout Southern California. All members will receive a SCGA handicap index. We will utilize the USGA Sanctioned Handicap System to offer fairness in tournament play. At the end of the year, there will be a Match Play Championship for the top 16 players. For each event, prizes and trophies will be awarded. Ranking will be based on points accumulated throughout the tournament year. At the moment, there is only one flight for this championship. However, as we continue to grow, other flights will be created so that everyone can compete. VGA of SoCal Charitable Mission is to help impoverished children in Vietnam get an education that they dearly need. VGA of SoCal can proudly say that we are the first golf club in Southern California who actively supports The Savice Foundation-- www.savice.org. Through Savice, a fund has been created that would benefit those less fortunate children. Weather in Southern California is beautiful year-round which makes any season golf season.
